Parent and Tot

Nurturing Water Confidence from Infancy

Embark on a joyous aquatic adventure with our Parent and Tot program, designed for newborns, infants, and toddlers aged 3 and above.

In this program, our Lifesaving Society-certified instructors create a nurturing environment where caregivers learn safe water handling while building profound bonds with their little ones.

As toddlers take their first strokes, our program focuses on fundamental aquatic skills, such as gentle floating, understanding water buoyancy, and playful kicking.

Ultimately, the foundation laid in these early years helps children develop a lifetime of confident swimming.

Crafting Future Swimmers with Fun

Turtles

The Turtles level is the foundational stage focused on water comfort and basic propulsion skills. Swimmers will master essential water safety techniques, including the Swimmer’s Breath (Bubbles) for coordinated breathing, and achieving a proper Streamline body position. The primary focus is on developing independent movement through the water, which includes performing a Push and Glide for 5 meters, and demonstrating proficiency in Front Kicking, Side Kicking, and Back Kicking for 10 meters each. This level culminates in the ability to perform Back Kicking with a Board over Knees for 15 meters, ensuring a strong, straight-leg kick is established before moving to full strokes.

Otters

The Otters level builds on the foundational kicking skills by significantly increasing endurance and introducing initial stroke mechanics. Swimmers will extend their kicking proficiency to 50 meters for Front, Back, and Side Kicking, reinforcing the hip-initiated, short-and-quick flutter motion. A critical new skill is the introduction of Treading Water for 30 seconds, a vital water safety component. Furthermore, this level introduces the fundamental Pulling Motion for both front and back strokes, preparing the swimmer for full-stroke coordination in the next stage.

A Journey into Aquatic Mastery

A critical new skill is the introduction of Treading Water for 30 seconds, a vital water safety component. Furthermore, this level introduces the fundamental Pulling Motion for both front and back strokes, preparing the swimmer for full-stroke coordination in the next stage.

Dolphins

The Dolphins level is dedicated to integrating arm strokes with kicking and breathing to achieve continuous, coordinated swimming. The primary focus is on the Front Crawl with Side Breathing and the full Back Crawl Swim, with an endurance goal of 100 meters for both. Swimmers will also work on the Side Glide for 50 meters to refine body rotation and breathing timing. A key technical introduction is the Breaststroke Kick for 50 meters, focusing on proper leg movements, timing, and coordination, alongside increasing water safety endurance by treading water for 1 minute.

Goldfish

The Goldfish level marks a significant step in endurance and stroke mastery, introducing the full Breaststroke and increasing distance goals. Swimmers are expected to complete 100 meters of both Front Crawl and Back Crawl, while also achieving 50 meters of the full Breaststroke. Technical refinement continues with Back Kicking with Shoulder Rotations to improve body roll. Endurance is a major theme, with the requirement to tread water for 2 minutes and the progression criteria challenging swimmers to swim up to 7 continuous laps of both freestyle and backstroke.

Sharks

The Sharks level is focused on advanced stroke technique, competitive skills, and high-level endurance. Swimmers will demonstrate significant stamina by completing 12-15 laps of Front Crawl and Back Crawl, and 8-10 laps of Breaststroke, culminating in an Endurance Swim of 18 laps. New competitive skills include the Kneeling and Standing Dive, while water safety is advanced with the Eggbeater Kick for treading water for 3-5 minutes. The introduction of the Underwater Dolphin Kick for 30 meters begins the transition to more advanced, competitive swimming techniques.

Swim Team

The Swim Team level is the final stage, designed for swimmers preparing for competitive environments, focusing on peak endurance, speed, and advanced water skills. Endurance is pushed further with goals of 15-18 laps for Front and Back Crawl, and 10-12 laps for Breaststroke, with a final Endurance Swim of 20 laps. Advanced training includes the Head-Up Front Crawl Sprint for 60 seconds to build power, and the practical safety skill of a Weight Carry. Swimmers must also demonstrate superior water safety by treading water with the Eggbeater Kick for 5+ minutes, showcasing mastery of all strokes and techniques.
